I've seen some research indicating that yes the combined change in monetary policy settings is what matters, so expansion in some central banks can provide an offset to tightening elsewhere. Given that growth stocks generally perform somewhat better in monetary expansion, China and Japan easing monetary conditions is probably helpful.
