Uranium is mined around the world without issue or human safety implications. So the cutoff level for uranium in mining announced by the Greenland government suggests that is not the reason for the decision -
The new law bans exploration of deposits with a uranium concentration higher than 100 parts per minute (ppm), which is considered very low-grade by the World Nuclear Association.
So what was the real reason?
And how long will that reason stack up?
There is more to this story, and one day the value will be realised. Greenland needs it, for sewerage systems which many towns do not have, amongst other needs.
