Never been a pacifist myself. A nation that won't stick up for itself is just a nation of pathetic weakling cowards. Unfortunately the leading governments of the world are populated by apologists or individuals so corrupted by their political doctrine that they can't put differences aside to solve global problems.
The world has been seeking a middle east solution now for 2 generations, has been figuring out how to combat continued civil unrest in Africa for the last 100 years and has been struggling with the rich poor divide, the clash of religion and numerous other problems that require a global effort to address.
ISIL douchebags are just another in long list of problems that we are all "outraged" about, but will ultimately do little to solve. Besides their is a never ending supply of money to be made in prolonging armed conflicts.
