    Frantic - for once I agree with you.

    I think this belief by some of our so called leaders that our political system mirrors that of the USA was brought into sharp focus in the public utterances of Rudd claiming that the Australian people voted for him as Prime Minister. Clearly, we did nothing of the sort.

    I had to laugh the other day when I visited a News Limited web site, something I rarely do as it is 99 percent rubbish and is in reality limited news, and I saw a web poll.

    The question was; would you vote for Julian Gillard, Tony Abbott or neither. Well of course I hit the neither button as I do not live in either Abbotts or Gillards electorate and I dare say 99 percent of the Australian population likewise.

    What a stupid question to ask by a stupid "news" organization. It is however, reflective of what Australian politics has become.....sadly.
