I think a lot of people will for similar reasons.
The greens are on the nose and falling in the polls (thankfully...I would vote labor preferentialy ahead of greens).
The problem is by simply voting independent if your independent candidate has no chance of winning is simply allowing him/her the power to distribute preferences (assuming you didn't).
So in the end all that you have is your vote not representing your say as to who you want to govern.
About 12 years back we used to have some good independents in WA but they went by the wayside or got coerced into joining a majot party
