And being the messenger the onus of responsibility lies on his shoulders to deliver an accurate message to shareholders. Something he has miserably failed at doing!
There is no other way of putting it.
It is the responsibility of the CEO to have a good overall picture of the activities of the different business units to formulate and then coordinate his message to shareholders.
