Everyone seems to have mixed thoughts about takeover bid, capital raising, or pump and dump activity. If there is a takeover bid or capital raising, hasn't the ASX already queried CNP about the huge spike in its SP, and haven't they responded by saying they don't know anything about why the huge jump?

If it is really a takeover bid or capital raising, can they subsequently release an announcement to the market saying there's a capital raising or takeover bid even though they have already stated that there's nothing to announce to the market for the jump in price?
