- Balance sheet has only been propped up. AirNZ continues to be propped up by govt subsidies. It is facing significantly increased costs (labor / Fuel) and pilot skill shortages. And massive capital demands in the future whihc they have no way of funding from free cash flow. So at least one more Cap Raise on the horizon.
- Management so well paid they can afford to tip some back into the company. Any losses they incur will be topped up by their bonuses.
- NZ Border about to reopen to those willing to pay for RAT's and be vaccinated. In the middle of winter when all we have is snow. To queenstown where there are not enough workers to serve the visitors.
NZ is not a premium destination. The only way AirNZ will make money out of flights is from those Kiwis who are departing this third world hermit nation.
