it’s also probably worth noting an Asx index fund has done poorly too since the gfc if you bought say 2007. It’s all about timing. However some companies and buy and hold forever, not saying iag is, as I’ve never owned it until now. But many large caps on the Asx I’ll never sell, and accumulate when they are down.
