Interesting times indeed!
There are the hedge funds who have mainly only options left, they won't want the 30c oppies to expire worthless and will try to get them in the money.
The company has funds to keep them going till well after the 30c options expire and will get more funds through the R&D tax rebate - possibly about 15m over time - which will keep them going for longer than it would initially appear.
