I hope you're right. Perhaps it's a case of me "underpromising and IAM overdelivering" (I hope so).

If it were whole of AMP, then we are talking circa 1,000 practices x $240k pa = $240m pa in revenue potential. That's some serious IAM operation and scaling up to do in early days and makes NPAT of $40m (accumulative) seem like a walk through the park if they new this from the start.

On your first point, I think a Board decision is required even if only applicable to 1 dealer group within the parent company, so I never read too much into this.

On point 2, agree that this trend towards consolidating is happening at AMP, but also across the board with the Big 4.

I agree with the trialled/phased approach whether its the Whale or one of its calf's.

All speculation and dot joining, so yes, time will tell.
