I thought the insurance remuneration changes had stalled and that was the feedback I had but wasn't sure.

But you are right, the trail on risk goes up to 20% so your book certainly doesn't lose value in the longer term.

You make a good point about super changes. The govt is tinkering with tax free income on transitional retirement streams. This was a cracking strategy for 55-65 year olds that may be no more and of course required a lovely SOA to be done. Most accountants / planners I know basically put anyone into a transitional stream as soon as they turned 55 - it was a good earner.

The planning practice I am involved with uses a paraplanner for all SOAs at around $360 - $480 a pop ... And I have heard amp have been trying to estimate the SOA process for years via use of an app/tech.. So let's watch this space and see what comes out of it.
