I prefer property trusts (REITs) over banks.
The reits have already been sold down heavy while many banks are still trading share price wise at more than 50% of what they were at their peak.

Sure the banks can force the REITs to go into foreclosure if they break covenants but that just puts anoterh unrecoverable liability on the banks ledger.
As long as the REITs have sufficient interest cover to pay their mortgage the banks are forced to carry them.
