The US election is being contested. No one will know the outcome until possibly as late as 19th January when the sitting president must step down, as per the US Constitution.
the senate run off in Georgia is important no matter who becomes President. If Democrats take the Georgia senate seats along with a Biden presidency then there is a chance that some of the Green New Deal style policies will be enacted. E.g rejoining Paris Climate agreement, no fracking on Federal lands etc
