The vanguard group at 3.18% of shares

USB Assset Management 30.9 of shares

If we look at the prices at the following companies at February :

Whitehaven Coal (WHC) $2.11
Yancoal Australia (YAL) $2.69 27% +

New Hope Coal (NHC) $1.55 3.6% -

Given that all fundamentally ratios have remained constant across all three companies and the coal price has remained constant per ton on each of the three companies you can see there is a massive discrepancy

Whist there are commonalities with both NHC and WHC with some of its major shareholders, lazard , vanguard and usb are not in Yancol and only USB are in NHC ....Further more given that most people are holding the shareholding Lazard Asset and Vanguard and USB have been doing all the selling and buying in this stock.

is the market turning a blind eye on to what is happening here and letting this ride ?

Whilst both com sec and nabtrade have whc coal priced fairly way above 2.20 p/s the market value at this present time and given where YAL and NHC , Whitehaven should be at 1.71

The share manipulation is nothing short of a ASX enquiry. You cant simply blame covid nor can you blame china exposure as WHC asia exposure is with only 8% exposure of total export market to asia .

Sooner or later the asx will sniff these guys out and there will have to be mass exit, pushing the price up back to a market rate of about 1.71 in my opinion.

But hey what do I know I am just a retail investor, no one of your fancy short selling hedge fund managers short selling here

stealing everyone else money.

Hey but if i am off base and any one out there can point out another reason unknown to most of us why WHC is trading lower than every body else and why the asx wont uncover the the actions of the major shareholders ... please let us all know
