I really don't think you understand the whole exchange rate thing at all.
For your enlightenment, I said that all commodities are priced in US dollars but the effect of the exchange rate is felt in the country like Australia where our currency is falling, or words to that effect.
The Aud is the reason the RBA is attempting to force down the exchange rate to assist Aussie miners like this IBG with exporting as the aud was to high in value, now it has fallen the Aussie miners exports will have a better time of it. Not though right now as China has cut way back on IO imports because of the failing Chinese property market.
