I do think IBG has a good future providing all the ducks line up, i would not be holding them if i did not think that. I just don't like the 90c cash cost as they usually would end up being higher in reality, that's my biggest worry. They have to be able to weather protracted downturns in the metals price. Unfortunately if they were currently in production they would be in trouble and i think that's why they are being severely punished now.
KZL had a cash cost of sub 35c lb when i first invested in them, that ballooned out to about 95c with the high cost environment we now find ourselves in, those costs then ballooned even further once they had to start shutting mines and production dropped. That could be the future for IBG in the right circumstances. "Murphy's Law" is always in the background
