iBurst has been around for sometime and they use proprietry technology, where as Unwired uses intels wimax technology.
Wimax is an excellent technology as 3G, being it's main high data rate transfer competitor, is disrupted by walls and tunnels, wimax is not.
As for TLS, I disagree with a comment that was made that TLS will win and that UNW and iBurst are tokens. About 12-24 months after TLS is fully floated the government will shaft them in the lead up to the election as the ACCC will force more open competition. The only way TLS will survive as a large company is to shed half it's work force as it's probably one of the most inefficient companies around, or buy companies like UNW, which would only allow other smaller players to enter the market.
As for Voip, look up myfone.com.au, unlike unwireds offer they have a plan that has no monthly fee.
regards.
