'The market' comprises a huge range of buyers and sellers, from highly sophisticated, full time analyst teams, to gamblers, large and small. I have a FT job so limited time for research except on holidays. I'm not sure how large the Motley Fool mailing list is, but I'm on it (I've followed them since the very early days, they've changed a lot) and others, and when I have time, put their recommendations on my watch list to research myself. I also take suggestions from some HotCopper posters to put on my watch list to research - the latter from someone on the Short Term Trading thread is how I decided to buy IBX at 1.5c.
