Dems, they want to stack the supreme court with liberal democrats (by adding more new seats) that will vote on the feeling of the constitution, than the republicans traditionally literal interpretation of the constitution. A court thats had 9 seats for over 100 years, and they are pissed that trump got 3 conservatives in his term, so they want to change the rules to suit them. Its currently at 6 conservatives, and 3 liberal. So dems want to just keep adding additional seats until they have a majority.
Change the rules that have seen checks and balances for 100 years. Because you are extreme left. The way it works, is that congress pass new legislation, but the supreme court has the highest level of discretion to make sure that any are in keeping with the constitution.
Now why would you want to stack the court, unless you wanted to get some legislation passed that would violate the safe guard of the literal interpretation of the constitution.
Like the second amendment. the right to bear arms. Well, whats the feeling of that? oh, that was just meant when the British were a threat and every farmer and his pitchfork, needed a bit more kick ? but we can scratch that one out. What about the right to own property ? doesnt work in china ? so why do we have that one here ?
