The NSW voters gave the ALP a belting at the last state election. O'Farrell has largely been a cautious and effective premier thus far - its exactly what NSW needs after the recent ALP turmoil.
As for the Bolte comparison, Bolte was a great premier for Victoria from 1955 to 1972. He was a strong supporter of the manufacturing industry in particular and was jobs focussed.
He left Victoria in a strong shape economically.
