Actually after having a think, the Unconventional and Conventional work quite well together.
They can only drill the conventional during winter using snow roads, during this time they shut in the unconventional. When summer comes they pack up the conventional and move to working on the unconventional until they get the fracking method /solution right. During summer they are also analysing data from the conventional wells and during winter the same from unconventional.
Means they can run all year round and optimise resources etc.
