Operative word there "PAY". That presumes that they will BUY ICN!! Sorry, that "FACT" should read "Beach will OFFER as little as it can get away with". Huge difference.

And don't forget before they have to PAY, they have to convince at least 50.1% of ICN SHs to get control and that impossible target of 90.1% for compulsory aquisition.
And as you often quote Beach's "form", Beach doesn't want part ownership they want 100%. Always.

They won't get ANY of those targets for "as little as they can get away with". They simply won't "get away with" ANYTHING other than a fair and reasonable price and they simply cannot afford that yet, either by cash or paper.

And don't forget RJ had enough support to defeat the Baldwin challenge just 2 and a bit years ago when they presented a major offensive campaign against him. If ever he was going to get knocked off it certainly was then. RJ still has that solid support from the Top 20, most of whom have been with him for many years and can finally see the target approaching.
They won't be selling for "as little as Beach can get away with".

IF they had intentions to takeover ICN, then BPT management should be hauled over the coals for wasting $90 million on ADE and not taking ICN when they were .17?? Or, more recently, when they were $1.70 odd and ICN was .19.
You might recall posters only a few weeks ago punting on a .30 offer which many of them would have taken!!!!
Now they are talking 1:2 or .75!!
Am Sure nelson knew that which reinforces my view that he doesn't want to takeover ICN YET.

Can't wait for next Top 20 around 20 April, but, if it is a "predator' buying, then you would expect them to provide a Substantial Shareholder Notice when they get to 5%, or 23 million shares long before that. Watch that space.

Be great to get some information that we can comment on instead of all of this speculation which is providing a great opportunity for DTs and dumpers. Next few days should be interesting.
