That is quite an interesting article About Finland I think there was a program on the TV not long ago about the storage
But I can say there now seems to be a use for that waste.

There is now a process in hand to enrich that waste Uranium going towards making it into a new fuel that is used in Small Modular Reactors SMRs that is much safer to use. That is one of the things I have been talking about on this site in reference to Thorium and flurospar.
You need to check out Silex/GLE who now have a contract in the US to enrich all their stored Uranium Tailings waste.
The US have supplied funding to build a plant for this purpose. SIlex also have a partner Cameco of Canada In this enrichment process.

This sort of thing could be very beneficial to GML with its tailings holding Thorium and fluorspar.
