Westpac Banking Corporation Ltd is in the early stages of reviewing its office investment trust and says there is no certainty that will lead to a sale.
The bank is conducting a strategic review of Westpac Funds Management Ltd and Westpac Office Trust, which includes potential value-enhancing opportunities by third parties, Westpac Funds Management said in a statement.
The fund manager said it was open to all opportunities to create wealth for its investors.
Westpac Funds Management made the statement in response to a report that said takeover negotiations for Westpac Office Trust were down to two parties - DEXUS Property Group and Mirvac Group."
