I’ve known plenty of people who have given up serious careers to care for loved ones
and lived in poverty on a carers pension
careers that already had them as leading lights- they gave up their lives to care
and money wise it saved governments millions
that they now get 60 bucks per hour - if that is true
is fine by me- giving up your career for love of someone and saving your nation at the same time - IMO deserves at least a level of some comfort above the poverty line
