And there was an incident some years ago when a bunch of cyclists killed a man who was crossing the beach road in Melbourne. And a more recent accident where a cyclist seriously injured a woman walking on a shared pathway.She was flung in the air and landed on her skull.
Some cyclists treat these shared pathways as speed tracks rather than recreational tracks.
It's about time all cyclists are required to have a licence. They have become a menace to pedestrians.
