Alan, the cyclist in question was obviously a fool and fools are not exclusive to either car drivers or cyclists. On more than one occasion I have been riding my bike on the extreme left side of the road and had a car overtake me and then immediately turn left forcing me to do an emergency stop to avoid colliding with their back door. The clothes that cyclists wear are high performance fabrics designed to wick moisture and keep you comfortable in variable conditions, they are close fitting so as not to become a sail and make heavy work of it, bright high visibility colours are worn for safety. Coffee shops that have lots of cyclists generally mean that the coffee is good. My local Bike User Group is very conscious of not causing annoyance to motorists and has a great relationship with local truckies but unfortunately there are always inconsiderate people.
