If I take your right hand door off with my car as I drive past your parked car at 40kph because you were too stupid to check for traffic as you flung it open.... you are the one who is legally liable. Do you want me to creep down a bit slower at say 20kph so you have a it more time?
My 15year old cousin runs down the same road on his bike at 40kph... unfortunately he was told to keep left.. and he thought he was being considerate to traffic behind....... but you fling the drivers door open because you never look and you are in a hurry........ and he dies... you are still liable... and you've killed somebody. And you are surprised by confrontation? Have you thought about taking the bus and staying off the road.
