Firstly, they won't get 1.4c for their sale. That is the lowest price they will sell for. As it stands right now, the open price is 9c, which is what they would receive if the market opened right now. Their trade will show as 9c or 8.8 or 8.6 or whatever the opening is. There is no 'showing the company a lesson'.

Secondly, it's best to not think about why OTHER people sell. For starters it may very well be a computer/algo trade. Second, you can never know and shouldn't judge their motivations.

Thirdly, be careful calling other people idiots when perhaps you may not be Jesse Livermore just yet.
