It's all well and good for companies like IDT or BioCina to put their hand up and say, yep, we can make mRNA vaccines. The government is essentially asking them to back up their claims.
Presuming IDT and the others are either doing as requested or completed their pitch to the government, all we can do is wait until the federal government makes a decision. I wouldn't hold my breath for a speedy decision.
