We are seeking a Production Biotech / Chemist to join our Pharma Operations team working on a number of projects for IDT and client products. You will gain invaluable experience working across our projects and product lines for sterile aseptic pharmaceuticals, GMP active ingredients, scale up, validation and commercialisation projects as well as novel development and clinical projects. You will assist through all stages of pharmaceutical operations and be adept to work across our product and client portfolio needs in a pharmaceutical GMP setting.

The key responsibilities for the role will include:

• Preparation and set up of facility, equipment, materials for clinical development and commercial pharmaceutical manufacture production in accordance with our quality and OHS systems.
• Production of clinical or commercial scale GMP pharmaceutical product or active ingredient - aseptic sterile filling, synthesis and purification processes, running of automated lines as well as manual small batch runs.
• Working effectively within our operating model to deliver on product, customer, quality, safety, time and cost commitments.
• Using effective team work, collaboration, problem solving skills and technical aptitude to adapt to product and process needs in real time.  
• Reporting and documentation requirements for development and commercial manufacture batches.  
• Helping drive operations excellence, culture and continuous improvement through opportunity identification and application.
• Flexibility to participate in seasonal peak work periods which requires some weekends and shift work.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, microbiology or chemical engineering are well regarded.
• Experience in cGMP is preferred but not essential.
• Strong aptitude to apply yourself both technically and scientifically as well developing an understanding of process equipment, facility and material handling is important.
• Sound numeracy, report writing and documentation skills to support clinical and commercial activities and validation requirements.  
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability to follow through and deliver on your commitments and ensure the team delivers on their goals.
• Collaborative and collegiate, you will be joining a great supportive team.
• Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Agile and adaptable to work across client and project needs.
