Very promising to hear that the established mRNA players are unlikely to give Australia "copy paste" production capacity which would most likely be handed on a silver plate to CSL. To produce our own homegrown mRNA vaccine, it's going to take time and the initiative is on the government to ramp things up and not sit around for another 16 months like the current government. If it took 400 daily cases in Sydney for the government to admit the only way out of this lockdown is herd immunity, what's it going to take for it to wake up to realise we need to future proof our economy against delta and future COVID variants. 1,000 Sydney cases per day? 2,000? Let's not even bring poor Melbourne into this conversation.
