There's definitely a possibility that Australia will end up with 2 mRNA manufacturers.
For that to occur I'd guess that the government would award their contract to build a sovereign capability to whoever, then later having Moderna coming in and setting up manufacturing here.
If Moderna decides to manufacture in their own right, they would definitely take a look at IDT. I mean, how many companies are there in Australia that can produce complex pharmaceuticals? Not many.
There's definitely a possibility that Australia will end up with...
