Today's announcement says drilling program stopped 15 Dec. So if a leak then probably not from the on-the-spot scintillometer operators since price surge was on 28 Dec.

Announcement says samples showing scintillometer readings of > 50ppm were sent to Alice Springs for assay. Therefore if a leak then probably from Alice Springs.

The following article on Athabasca Projects is perhaps interesting:

"Probe results are presented as “grade equivalent” U3O8 (e%). It should be noted that in a direct comparison of probe results versus geochemical results (where core recovery is a minimum of 95%), probe results tend to return lower values than geochemical (“true”) grades. This is due to the methodology employed by the probe, and is widely acknowledged within the Uranium industry."

So far as I can find out >750ppm was regarded as ore economic to mine. But that was on old prices.

Any uraniumites who can comment on what might be going on?
