kray, hedging is fine when you have the supply to offset the hedged position.
all they did was lock in an 88c exchange rate, remember it was not too long that the exchange rate was 98c and people were saying it was going to parity and higher.
but when you don't have the production, and the hedge has moved against you, the losses are double.
