hit the nail on the head. nothing has changed. you don't get everything all at once - no one ever has. i think there is a massive misconception out there that young people are way more hard done by than they actually are, cos it makes a 'good' news article or whatever. there is plenty out there that can be afforded on a very modest salary. you have a 10 - 20 year plan, save some money, lower expectations and accept you won't have a penthouse just this minute, and begin. that is how it is and how it will always be.
