Russia maintains one of the world's most liberal immigration policies; anyone who works in Russia for five years and develops fluency in the Russian language can become a citizen, provided they have not committed a crime.
Having worked in the CIS and Russia, I can tell you that if you have skills which allow you to work, and embrace the language/culture - it is easy to become a citizen. Go and volunteer for the military - I hear they have openings.
