As a long term shareholder I'm sure you would have taken advantage of the 2017 low prices in the knowledge that Cormorant 1 was coming - I sure did, so did Gridder and many other no doubt too.
The biggest beneficiaries were Bomboras shareholders.
Yes its a "bet" the spec end always is - some would argue that the entire equity market is a bet - lucky for some if they have also in a free carried position.
In the end it comes down to how you manage your trade... and practical guy's like you serve to remind us all not to lose the shirt off our backs.
Our bets are miniscule compared to the bets that Tullow, ONGC, Africa Energy Co are making, but they are hedging their bets with their geological knowledge, 3D seismic technology and sharing out the risk. Now its its up to the geology and whether our experts have chosen the correct place to drill.
I don't know about you, but I'm openly bullish - my sentiment and position support my comments.
