My comment:
In view of what CTO have been delivering have you thought about what CTO would have to be promising in order to underpromise and over deliver?
They'd sure have to be a scrooge with their promises!
For example for the June quarter CTO could have promised to deliver 1200 ounces of gold production and then proudly announced that their forecast was beaten by more than 50% with 1855 ounces of gold production.
Actually the rumour I've been told down at the pub, and the person was only slightly drunk when he told me, is that leprechauns have stopped looking for their pots of gold at the end of the rainbow and instead have all burrowed their way underground Charters Towers.
These mischievous leprechauns hack away with their picks and shovels and steal the best ore with all the gold nuggets showing just before CTO mines that ore.
When you think about it, this might well explain why CTO have been consistently producing thousands of ounces less than guidance.
It's the leprechauns!
But how can CTO make an ASX announcement about this because noone would believe them! Would you?
Imagine, how could it be headed?
ASX alert - Gold production fails to meet guidance. Leprechauns stealing our gold!
PS: I hope CTO does turn into a great success story. But a bit of laughter sometimes is the best medicine.
