It seems a lot of people do not know the true meaning of deflation and that one of the methods used to fight deflation is to print money! IF and I say if the central banks win the battle against deflation then yes we get inflation. The speed at which central banks are pumping money into the economy is a WARNING that the central banks see deflation as a major threat in the current environment. I have attached a link that explains what deflation is in laymens terms and if we are not in a deflationary environement right now I suggest we are pretty close. The central banks are trying to ensure this deflation does not morph into a deflationary spiral ala Japan in the 1990's.
