I read a few years back the DOW could go to 6600 its still a possibility especially with trillions of debt (around US 30K for every man woman and child ) and representing around 8% of GDP. Also GM having a 30% chance of going chapter 11 and high consumer spending without the ability now to refi home loans by consumers for equity loans.
however the greater the fall from the US stock market the less it will impact oz as we will just substitute the US for China as a market as is already happening. OZ is lucky they need the ore
