Mightyatom, I don't dispute your ranking - however, when it comes to class action cases the documentation moves all rigths from clients to litigation funder and lawyer - and if the commercial decision is to settle, then settlement it is. Such decision will be justified from expected risk/return profile - and willingness from litigation funder to continue.
Settlements are very often in the best interest of clients as well from a risk/return assessment.
