Enoonai- no offence but what you have written (below) IMO- is the MSM version of these events. Written to form popular public opinion, to serve a cause and to justify. There is alot more to the stories, and always another side. You just have to dig, research and make up your own mind. If this is your opinion after you have done that then I will be suprised.

1. Iran's sanctions are not because they are repatriating gold. More likely due to the likelihood that they will develop nuclear weapons.

2. Chavez may have improved life in Venezuela for his people but he actually IS a Dictator.

3. Gaddafi was killed by his own people after many years of oppression.

I can give you one fact. We have had a gold standard in the past and it has failed.

I can give you my opinion too. We have not learnt from the failed gold standard (or the idea of a fixed currency) as the Euro clearly demonstrates.
