I think you will find that CPC sold its Mt Kare stake for stock in Madison Enterprises (MNP on VSE in Canada) and they have sold down some of their holding (not sure how much though). MNP has certainly diluted their share capital in recent times.

MNP was 18 cents last time I looked. They were about $8 after the first results from Mt Kare in 1997, CPC hit 70 cents (pre consolidation & for one day only).

I remember the originals on HC made a mint out of this and the back page of the AFR had a big write up on HC & insider trading.
