There is more to ncm than the headline gold price

Theoretical price targets for ncm based on gold price alone are a trap and failed many a trader in the past. Im sure you could find many a trader that bought ncm for that theory, saw gold go to 1917 and wondered by the stock was falling through 40

One also has to consider, where is production, will they deliver when the price is high in aud terms, of late they have failed

The headline price may be high and their resources huge, but if their margin compresses because of a roaring aud, or excalating oil prices, wages or development costs, gold could be 3000 and their margin the same ......

If gold was at new highs, i wonder what the macro picture would be...
