Thing is regan, USD weakness is not the key to golds rise, its just one part of the pie.
To answer your question, its different because its the only commodity that is also a currency (with the exception of silver of course).
Many think this is a 'credit crisis' and a 'liquidity crisis'. Time will show that this is a currency crisis. And not JUST a USD one
