I doubt Trump is making these propaganda statements by himself
the spinners are operating behind the scenes hoping they can bluff people like Germany in WW2 and create false positives and negatives to trtives to try and manipulate the masses into policies to suit the elite
Trump obviously is not worrying about his credibility let alone legacy. He probably is relying on the spinners for his legacy anyway.
Trump might be too aloof to really have a finger on the pulse on what needs to be done and age would drift any astuteness he would have had.
