i actually think the consolidation serves this purpose -

1 - what drova hinted at regarding it being a requirement for a % buy-in to the company
2 - US funds to give the follow through buying once a deal is done.

Mgmt and key investors have a stack of shares they need to monetise and sell down/derisk and that volume of buying is not going to come from the aussie market. So cleverly they are getting an insurance policy in place where there will be big sustained buying on the market once a deal or key news is delivered.

I really think we will get a gilead like deal that hottod posted the other week

15% buy in for x million
$200 mill or so licensing fee
$ billion back ended milestones
10-15% royalty on sales

What the X amount is I don't know ?? $100-150mill usd would be nice !
