I have huge respect for Chris and his team at MinRes
They are by far the smartest boys on that lithium block these days.
Some HC posters may not be aware that the core business of MinRes is actually mining services on a contract basis to other big mining companies.
MinRes already provide these services in scale to Gina’s iron ore mines and Pilbara’s Pilgangoora lithium operation (120 kms south of Port Hedland).
Chris knows exactly where things are shaping up in the lithium business and where the lowest risk (capex and margins) are.
In the foreseeable, maybe it’s in the simple export of quality lithium concentrate.
What better place ‘on the planet’ could there be to establish a purpose built lithium processing hub (modular crushing, floatation etc) than midway between Andover and Tabba Tabba, right at the gateway entrance to the largest bulk export terminal ‘in the world’?
Whoever eventually wins absolute control of each of these 2 projects will soon be talking to MinRes because of their quality track record in the Pilbara and the fact that they may choose to hold a 20% interest in each of these projects.
Wildcat (Tabba Tabba with a granted ML) could be built first in parallel to MinRes building of a new specialist processing hub (and export infrastructure), with the Andover deposit following a few years later after Heritage clearances and ML grant.
Lets see how this all pans out … but I have had dumber ideas!
